Bonnat Chocolatier

Chocolate maker from father to son since 1884

Since 1884, the Bonnat Family has worked with passion to transform the best cocoa beans to create chocolates that delight the senses around the world.

Stéphane Bonnat, heir to this ancestral tradition, explores the world to discover or rediscover rare and precious cocoas selected on plantations nestled in equatorial forests.

It is in Voiron that the fifty-six origins are processed, transported from its own plots or from partner plantations. Each harvest is treated individually and meticulously, because it is imperative to pay particular attention to each type of cocoa during roasting, peeling, grinding or conching.

It takes a few days to transform these precious beans into chocolate, thus revealing the subtle aromas for which Bonnat bars are renowned.

This exceptional heritage, marked by passion, rigor and a relationship of trust with cocoa farmers, has allowed Maison Bonnat to shine throughout the world for more than a century.
